At Decorum & Co, we’re committed to delivering your order safely, efficiently, and affordably. The details below explain how our shipping process works — from order handling to courier delivery — so you know exactly what to expect.

1. Dispatch & Handling Time (Pick & Pack SLA)

All orders go through a quality check, packaging, and booking process before being handed over to our courier partners.

  • Processing & Dispatch Time: Orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 working days after payment confirmation.
  • 10 AM Cut-off: Orders placed after 10 AM will be processed from the next working day. This applies to both standard and overnight deliveries.
  • Once dispatched, you will receive an email with your tracking details.

Note: “Overnight Delivery” refers to the courier’s transit time only. Our 1–2-day pick-and-pack time still applies before the parcel is handed over to the courier.

While our official SLA allows up to 1–2 working days, most orders are dispatched sooner whenever stock availability and courier schedules allow.

2. Shipping Methods

2.1 Standard Courier Delivery (Nationwide)

We select the most reliable and cost-effective courier option based on your location and parcel size.

Available services include:

  • Door-to-door standard delivery
  • Overnight delivery (where available)
  • Locker-to-locker delivery

Estimated delivery times (after dispatch):

  • Standard delivery: 1–5 working days
  • Overnight delivery: Next working day after courier collection

If your parcel exceeds standard size or weight limits, courier surcharges may apply.

2.2 Free Shipping Policy (Volumetric Weight Disclaimer)

Orders over R3,000 qualify for free shipping, subject to a maximum volumetric weight equivalent to 60 kg.

Couriers in South Africa calculate shipping charges using volumetric weight, which is based on parcel dimensions rather than actual weight alone. This ensures accurate costing for large or bulky packages.

A typical industry formula is:

Volumetric Weight (kg) = (Length × Width × Height in cm) ÷ 5000

(Different couriers may use slight variations of this formula.)

If the volumetric weight of your order exceeds the free-shipping threshold, any additional courier fee will be automatically calculated at checkout.

No manual confirmation is required — the delivery cost shown at checkout reflects the final payable amount.

2.3 Collection from Our Warehouse (By Appointment Only)

You are welcome to collect your order directly from our warehouse once it is ready.

  • Collections are by appointment only.
  • Same-day collection is possible once your order has been confirmed as ready.
  • Please bring your order number and name for verification.

3. Tracking & Notifications

You will receive a tracking number via email once your parcel leaves our warehouse.

Please ensure that your contact details and email address are correct at checkout to receive all shipping updates.

Once your parcel has been handed to the courier, all delivery-related follow-ups should be directed to the courier using your tracking link.

4. Damaged Parcels

If your parcel arrives damaged:

  • Notify us within 24 hours of receiving it.
  • Include clear photos of the product and all packaging.

Late claims may affect eligibility for a replacement or refund.

5. Address Accuracy & Missed Deliveries

Please ensure your shipping address and contact details are correct before completing checkout.

We cannot be held responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete address information.

If your parcel is returned to us after a failed delivery, re-delivery can be arranged at your expense.
